Scott Brown: Cartoonist is the story of an Ohio cartoonist who made a great chocolate soda.  He was also my grandfather.

Scott Brown (1909-1982) published cartoons locally in the Mansfield News Journal and nationally in Colliers, the New Yorker, and the Saturday Evening Post.  Mansfield residents still remember him fondly as the proprietor of Brown's Soda Shop, where generations of locals enjoyed his chocolate sodas, cartoons, weather predictions, and gag gifts.  Most of his work is archived at the Billy Ireland Cartoon Library and Museum at Ohio State University, alongside the works of cartoonists such as Charles Schulz (Peanuts) and Bill Watterson (Calvin and Hobbes).

Scott Brown: Cartoonist tells the story of my grandfather's life.  This full color, large format, hardcover book contains brilliant reproductions of his cartoons, early work, family pictures, artwork, and other memorabilia from museums, magazines, newspapers, and private collections.  Many of the images in this book have never been seen by the public.  The book includes artifacts from my own collection, and my personal childhood recollections of him and the Soda Shop.

Scott Brown: Cartoonist will be released in late spring 2023.
