Christopher Kuntz is the latest in a family tradition of surgeons dating back to the Civil War. He grew up in Indiana and moved to the west coast to attend Stanford University in 1980, where he studied Biology and German History. After graduating with distinction from Stanford he taught high school Physics and German near San Francisco. He entered medical school in his mid twenties at UC San Francisco Medical Center. After graduating from UC San Francisco he went on to complete his training in Ophthalmology at the University of Washington Medical Center. He has been in practice since 1997. He is currently taking a sabbatical in order to pursue several creative projects inside and outside of the field of Ophthalmology.
Dr. Kuntz has been recognized on multiple occasions by his peers as one of Seattle’s Top Doctors by both Seattle Magazine and Seattle Metropolitan Magazine. He is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology.
Dr. Kuntz is married and lives on the Eastside. When he is not operating he can be found woodworking, drawing or enjoying the outdoors with his wife and children.
